I could explain it better but I have a problem. I think in pictures and have problems in translating pictures into words. I have a problem with terms. In my mind I can see everything that happens inside a computer and whatever it connects to, but have a really hard time trying to explain it to others.

It seems some of the older routers they are using will only handle so much. Then they start dumping things which caused others to fail until the entire web fails. It seems as if they are using our PCs to do it.

I was doing some research on my problem and I found an article about how to crash the web. I think the world wide web was attacked. Remember a few months ago the same type thing happened. I think that was a test.

I think you're right, Acumen. The certificate provider has a message board for community support, and I see that a lot of people have described a similar problem in the last week or so.

I have my website hosted by GoDaddy and about 2 months ago I had certificate issues.
It's a pain in the backside.

I don't think the problem was just your. I have been having problems with other web sites. At least half of my sites were off line.

IMHO, the whole thing with requiring security certificates for pages that don't transmit secure information is ridiculous, anyway. It's just a way for "them" to make more money, and it seems like every few months I have a problem with it

No one abandoned you for GoFB.

It's all good.

My apologies for the security certificate error! It's "tentatively" fixed now.

Here's what's going on:

As far as I can tell, my normal security certificate provider is having a problem updating. I submit the request and it says that it's approved, but it just never gets installed.

I set up a different provider a few days ago, but they have a limit to the number of certificates that they can install. GoNC requires more certificates than they provide, so it ended up leaving some sites with an error.

Last night I deleted that certificate and tried to reinstall one from my normal provider. It SAID that it would be installed by 5am, but obviously it was not.

So I just now deleted that one and reinstalled the certificate from the secondary provider. So most of the GoNC sites are working again, but not all of them.
